Stay at the Qosqo Maki homestay to help the homeless youth become independent working people in Cusco!
About the project
Qosqo Maki is an association created in 1990 that ensures the accompaniment of the exercise of the rights of working and/or homeless children and adolescents in Cusco, Peru. They have decided to leave their family for a while, after daily situations that affected their physical, emotional and social integrity. The NGO has four programs: a night reception service for homeless youth, a library / playroom space, two bakery and carpentry training workshops and a solidarity tourism program. Each program has its own characteristics, but they converge on a common goal: multiply the opportunities for individual and collective construction.
About the homestay
Qosqo Maki offers travelers who wish to live a solidary tourism experience, several rooms with private or shared bathrooms, 24/7 hot water, computers, newspapers, Wi-Fi connection and a kitchen-dining room where to prepare your meal. The association is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is powered by solar energy since 2016. In addition, we can give advice on the different tourist destinations and hikes in the Cusco region.
