About the project
The GLO House is a home for children that is positive, education focused, and full of love. They will have the opportunity to grow in all aspects of life by learning a variety of skills and participating in unique activities such as learning an instrument, football, gardening, cooking, cleaning, karate, dance, surf, net ball, and art. Their goal is to help the youth of South Africa overcome their environment. They have a community outreach program that gives children an opportunity to express themselves through surfing and other sports.

About the homestay
The GLO House offers you amazing insights into South African culture and the work with children. You can stay here and experience the day-to-day life of the organization. In addition, you can learn how to surf in Muizenberg (one of the top 5 beaches in the world to learn surfing). If water is not really your element, you can also experience the beautiful South African landscape by hiking and climb the Table Mountain, Lions Head or Devils Peak. Furthermore, you can get a glimpse of life in townships (where most of our children are from) and learn about South African History. If you have even more time, make sure to explore the Southern Peninsula and visit the Boulders Beach Penguin Colony, Cape of Good Hope and Hout Bay. Lastly, you can take off to adventurous Safaris on the Garden Route and see one of the Big 5 in real life. Meanwhile, make sure to enjoy traditional and authentic South African dishes.
