Qosqo Maki

Help the youth become independent working people in Cusco!

About the project

Qosqo Maki is an association created in 1990 that ensures the accompaniment of the exercise of the rights of working children and adolescents in street situation in Cusco, Peru. They have decided to leave their family for a while, after daily situations that affected their physical, emotional and social integrity. The NGO has four programs: a night reception service for working youth in street situation, a library/playroom space, two bakery and carpentry training workshops and a solidarity tourism program. Each program has its own characteristics, but they converge on a common goal: multiply the opportunities for individual and collective construction.
